Hello, Steve here with etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look together at the exhaust outlets for the Blue Ox mud flaps. Now, these are what are called flow through adapters, and what they're gonna do is they're gonna let you let exhaust vapors pass through the Blue Ox mud flap system. Now that Blue Ox mud flap system is sold separately. And what these do is they're gonna help prevent damage from like hot gasses that come through if your mud flaps are mounted closely or right behind your tailpipes. So again, they are used for rear facing exhaust system.
They have a nice polished stainless steel (metal clinking) on the main cover itself, and the black grid or screen here is a black powder coated metal screen. That's gonna protect the inside of the tail pipes as well from road debris being able to come back and hit that and whatnot. It is a two piece, so you can unscrew these, the mounting screws do come with both parts here pre installed from the factory. You just have to unscrew them. You will have to cut a hole in your mud flap.
Now the hardware that's included on the packaging itself has a template in the packaging. And you will use this chisel, which is included, it does come with a nice safety cover here. You'll use this chisel to draw your template, and then cut a hole in the mud flaps themselves, 'cause mud flaps as you know are very thick rubber material, so you're gonna need that chisel to cut that hole out. Feel free to use something else that you have at home if you think you can cut it easier, but again, this has a chisel included. You will get two of these.
They have a diameter of five-and-a-half inches side to side on the outside, the inner hole diameter is four inches. These do have a nice one year limited warrantee. Again, these are the Blue Ox exhaust outlets for your Blue Ox mud flaps. I would be certain that you could also use 'em on other style mud flaps that are out there, just make sure that you check your personal mud flaps to make sure it's something you wanna do before you cut holes in 'em. I'm Steve with etrailer.com.
I hope this information is helpful to you. Have fun out there towing, and keep your stuff safe with these Blue Ox mud flap outlets.
